The Position: The Senior Computer Forensic Specialist is a member of Operations team and reports to the Senior Director of Customer Fullfillment.

Key Responsibilities
Utilizing your technical, business, management and analytical skills, you are responsible for:

• Managing computer forensic investigations, including evidence preservation (onsite/offsite), as well as providing electronic evidence consultative services. Investigative services duties include managing evidence, data analysis, designing and implementing complex keyword syntax, interacting with clients, and providing expert witness services.
• Consultative services include reviewing and drafting electronic evidence documents (protocols, affidavits, etc.) and internally assisting production engineering to define tool sets and processes for projects.
• Creatng Litigation Response Plans (LRP) for Renew Data’s clients.
• Preparing annual and quarterly budgets and staffing plans that support the business and strategic plans.
• Establish and manage the resources and team to setup and maintain the forensic team from a day to day operational point of view. Identify candidates for open positions, Interview candidates with other members of the team. Negotiate salary and other terms. Hire new employees as per the budget and business needs.
• Provide line management for all direct reports, complete quarterly and annual reviews and conduct performance management for the entire team.
• Manage the individual contributors and their team leads or Managers in the Austin headquarters. Set overall goals for a position, quarterly goals, and short term deliverables, and when needed, day to day task assignments, mentoring and directing.
• Review and approve forensic plans for every forensic project undertaken by RDC. Review the sizing, and status of tasks to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide strategic guidance and thinking in the design and development of innovative new programs to support customers and enhance revenue growth.
• Interface directly with clients on all project issues.
• Work with external business partners and service providers to manage projects, and maintain service levels.
• Review and ensure compliance with all legal requirements and contract terms. Ensure that all issues and requirements are properly contracted for and documented.

Job requirements:
• Bachelor's degree with more than five years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Expert experience providing computer forensic investigations on multiple hardware types and working experience with computer forensic software, such as EnCase, SnapBack, Ghost, etc.;
• Experience with network architectures and security is desired;
• Expert knowledge of data structures (FAT, FAT32, NTFS, UNIX, etc.);
• Individual must be well organized and possess excellent phone, interpersonal, customer service, communication, and documentation skills;
• A background in civil investigations and/or electronic evidence consulting is desirable;
• Experience testifying in civil, criminal or administrative proceedings is required;
• Some travel required.
