Software: Estimate page count of native files

Postby ipro-tech » Wed Oct 22, 2008 2:22 am

Hello,

I've been trying to find a software that gets the estimated page count
for native files quickly. I use z-print but it takes quite a long time to process.
Anyone know any other software, EED tool that we can acquire?

thanks in advance

A good python programmer with some machine learning background could do this in hadoop pretty quickly. I suspect most of the commercial software will fail if the text is complicated.

Estimated Page counts

I do not believe that any software could accurately predict the number of TIFF images a given Gigabyte of ESI would produce.

I have seen one (1) four MB Excel spreadsheet convert to 80,000 TIFF images.
