Los Angeles, CA (October 8, 2009) – iCONECT Development, LLC hires Howard G. Silver, former Vice President of X1 Technologies and ZANTAZ, as their Chief Technology Officer. He will spearhead new product development utilizing 2010 technology and designed to address the specific needs of corporations, law firms and Application Service Providers (ASPs). iCONECT will also expand its reach into all stages of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) to become the preferred software vendor for all e-discovery and legal matters, from processing to productions. To this end, iCONECT will open an additional development office in the Los Angeles area.

“Howard Silver’s technical background, leadership skills and experience in today’s very competitive e-discovery market makes him a valuable member of our management team as we further expand our coverage into the EDRM market with the latest technology available,” said Cynthia Williams, CEO of iCONECT Development, LLC. “Howard’s experience leading multiple development teams will be extremely beneficial as we aggressively seek to launch a new wave of e-discovery products.”

Silver’s experience includes strategic planning for new products, establishing best practices for development, managing large teams in multiple locations, and defining target users to ensure product usability. He is an expert in developing a solid software architecture for e-discovery, searching, archiving, and case management products for in-house and ASP/SaaS environments.

“iCONECT has a strong infrastructure, extensive industry expertise, and the desire to continue to move forward and lead the next generation of litigation support solutions,” said Howard Silver, the newly appointed CTO of iCONECT Development, LLC. “I am excited to be joining the team of dedicated professionals at iCONECT.”

While planning begins on the next wave of iCONECT software, new features continue to be added to iCONECT’s flagship product, nXT, ensuring that it maintains its position as the #1 web-based hosting, collaboration and review platform. nXT is used by 83 Am Law 100 firms, Fortune 500 corporations, and government agencies, has a proven track record with over 10 billion pages hosted worldwide, and provides a seamless upgrade path to new iCONECT products.

Key nXT features include support for Chinese, Russian, Arabic and over 250 other languages worldwide, as well as TIFF-on-the-Fly, e-mail review tools, bulk tagging, user metrics reports, concept searching and clustering. nXT is fully scalable with options to expand user and storage capacity as your company grows. You can choose to install nXT in-house, or use one of iCONECT’s worldwide network of over 50 Application Service Providers (ASPs) to host your projects. You can also use ASPs to supplement an in-house system to accommodate changes to storage or project requirements without additional infrastructure investment.

For in-house installations, firms can choose the best fit for their infrastructure requirements: nXT as a self-contained product with embedded database technology; nXT connected to Microsoft SQL Server (NASDAQ:MSFT); or nXT connected to Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL).
