So I've tried everything I can think of to get redactions/redlines markups on Concordance images to export in color. It fails on PDF's, TIFs (all formats) and JPEGS.
My client wants to export their Concordance based color document production in color with color redactions. Tech support at Concordance indicates it is not possible with Concordance to accomplish this, which is a problem for those of us in the patent world, where colors can contain significant value and information.
One issue I have is I'm not a registered Concordance user and elements of the interface are not available on the trial version I'm using while I test this stuff out. Concordance Image puts a greyscale watermark "CONCORDANCE IMAGE DEMO" on my output to PDF, possibly affecting the resulting image file in some way I am not aware of (removing some colored areas from the image, leaving highlighting as yellow but opaque).
Printing to a printer does seem to print properly, with color where it is supposed to be and highlights transparent. However, the print to PDF doesn't seem to work. Possibly there is a buried advanced command in the PDF controls that lets me make this work that I am missing.
Other options are to export the concordance database and redlines into another program that does allow this type of printing. However, after speaking to support at Summation, this doesn't seem to be an option with their product either.
