A Major Chicago Law Firm (AmLaw 50) is looking to hire and train a Litigation Support Technician.

This is an excellent and unique opportunity for someone to break into the growing litigation support industry. This individual should have a Bachelor’s degree from an Ivy League school and should have preferable have an IMS or Computer Science background. This candidate will be mentored directly by the Litigation Support Manager and will be held responsible for assisting with the technical support of litigation support databases and computer imaging projects including creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting solutions for identified litigation support needs at the firm.

Some responsibilities will include the following:

• Create, maintain and troubleshoot litigation databases (Concordance) and computer imaging projects.
• Load TIFF images onto network file servers.
• Load and extract ASCII test data to/from litigation support software applications.
• QC and load data and image files from vendors into litigation support applications using IPRO.
• Maintain tracking logs for data received and loaded; maintain inventory of data media received for each project.
• Prepare Litigation Support Staff for travel by transferring data from the network onto laptops.
• Provide LiveNote support and troubleshooting assistance to users.
